Hi! My name is Kirsten, but everyone calls me Kia. I'm from Cebu, Philippines and I’ve had the amazing privilege of living in many places such as Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Michigan, and Hawai’i before moving to what I now call my second home—Gothenburg, Sweden!

I’m a lifestyle photographer and this journey truly began when I became a mother. When my daughter was born, it was like seeing the world through new eyes. Her arrival reminded me of how precious and fleeting each moment is. Becoming a mother not only filled my heart with joy but also reignited my passion for photography. I wanted to capture those little, beautiful moments that pass by so quickly.

Before this, I had left my dream job to reunite with my now husband, but struggled to find the right job in Sweden, leaving the skills I’d spent years developing unused. Instead of continuing the despair of feeling lost, I chose to reconnect with myself by rediscovering the joy of documenting life’s precious moments.

I want my daughter to see that when one door closes, you can find the courage to create a new path with resilience and creativity.

Now, I aim to do the same for others—preserving the love, laughter, and genuine connections that make life so special. She is my inspiration… but so are my clients! I’ve fallen in love with helping them tell their stories through beautiful, natural imagery. Their joy becomes my own—a shared reflection of the moments we’ve created together.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me chasing after my little one while exploring new places, or enjoying a good book in harmonious silence with my husband. These everyday moments inspire my photography and keep me grounded in the beauty of life’s simple joys.
